Recommended Reference Sources

OLS content packages SHOULD include their own exact citations. The following are recommended categories and commonly useful resources for building EOTC and Oriental Orthodox teaching material.

Turn a Recommendation into a Citation

The table above identifies source categories, not complete bibliographic records. Before encoding content, identify the exact edition, language, publisher, year, page or folio, and usage rights.

Never cite only a generic work title when multiple editions differ. For manuscripts, record repository, shelfmark, folio, and image rights. For oral and recorded sources, document provenance, consent, and the limits of what the source establishes.
